Over the last 12 months Clayton Glass has seen quite a dramatic change in the market, with the demand for glazed conservatory roof panels rising sharply. This is in part due to the ongoing growth of the conservatory sector itself, but also the advent of specialist glass products has opened a few eyes to the huge benefits a glazed roofing system can offer over the polycarbonate equivalent.

In reaction to this demand, some time ago Clayton Glass set about a programme of product development both in terms of technical specification & manufacturing capability. Many of the old objections with regard to wrong size or shape have been overcome by the use of advanced order entry and automated cutting/bar bending facilities, and the problems associated with the historical use of laminated glass are now eradicated by the use of toughened. Add a solar control to a performance Low E glass, gas filling and low maintenance coating, and there are significant opportunities to give the customer what is a cutting edge product, but at a price which is attractive, as opposed to prohibitive.
