In addition to the £1.7M invested throughout 2001 in the shape of a Lisec high speed sealed unit production line and a 2.1 x 4.2m Tamglass toughening furnace, we have further strengthened production facility. A further £750,000 investment has seen a Lisec VFL robot line with double gas press facility installed (2002), to coincide with the launch of Document  L. This puts Clayton at the leading edge of argon technology; able to manufacture and non destructively test 7,500 gas filled units per week. Furthermore, with no unsightly plug holes or keys we can provide the same excellent aesthetics as our standard units.

All Clayton’s IG units are manufactured using continuous spacer frames, providing improved integrity, greater corner strength, better butyl application plus substantially less potential leak paths for moisture giving the unit greater hermetic integrity in order to meet and exceed the 10 year guarantee given on all their units. The whole range of products manufactured by Clayton are tested to BS EN 1279 (BS 5713) and come with a service second to none.
