Below shows the steps involved in a traditional lead restoration. The toplight had been damaged in a fire. The heat had cracked the roundalls and damaged the leadwork. We replaced the roundalls, removed the broken glass and cut it down to a new size to encapsulate it into a triple glazed unit. Not only have we restored it to it’s natural appearance but by making it triple glazed, we have ensured that it will not weather again.
