In the past Clayton have shown their commitment in becoming involved with the local community through their sponsorship of the Beamish and East Stanley boys under 8’s football team which is still run by Clayton employees.

                                                                                                         We are keen on maintaining close ties with the community and we are proud to announce that we are now sponsors of a local auto cross team.

The car shown was in fact built by Ryan Bowman; a team leader at Clayton Glass and is owned by his father. This car was built by Ryan after developing an interest in cars and racing from an early age.

 The car is a Ford Fiesta Mark 2 and has been racing competitively for 4 years. The season is half way through and the team have already achieved one 1st place, one 2nd place and two 3rd place finishes nationwide in its class (class 2), a highly respectable achievement.

We are honoured to be sponsoring another local team which will hopefully benefit the local community and we would like to wish Ryan and the rest of the team every success for the rest of this year and also the future.
